The
Saxman Cometh! Podcast
#1 [25-03-06]
No matter which instrument they choose, elite musicians eventually
transcend the limitations of style and learn to communicate complex
ideas and emotions directly with any audience using only their instrument.
One local musician who exemplifies that is R & B saxophonist
Marvin Yakoweshen.
The
intensity which pours out of Marvin's sax when he plays is just
one vital component of what makes him such an important addition
to the local music scene. As a person, Marvin is a knowledgeable
and gentle individual who is best known for his witty humor and
kind heart. It's hard to capture that essence in an audio interview
but I've done my best, I hope you enjoy the podcast.
Looking
for some saxual gratification? Catch Marvin live in
Calgary every weekend at the Bowness Hotel with Gary
Martin and The Heavenly Blues band. If you would like
to take sax lessons from Marvin Yakoweshen, or need
some intense sax playing for a studio recording call
Marvin at (403) 207-4381. |
